General Power Of Attorney (الوكالة العامة)

General Power of Attorney enables the applicant to authorize someone to act on behalf of him/her in Palestine.

Any Power of Attorney containing the selling of a property or land can only be done in person at the Palestinian General Delegation in Ottawa.

There are two different types of General Power of Attorney:-

General Power of Attorney. (Excludes the selling of real estate)      وكالة عامة لا تشمل البيع   

General Power of Attorney to Sell Real Estate                   وكالة عامة تشمل البيع   

Requirements:

The person who intends to give a General Power of Attorney has to provide the following documents:

1- Filled Form (Available templates bellow), typed, not handwritten.
2- Your Valid Palestinian Passport or Palestinian Identity Card. (If using on the application)
3- Your status in Canada or a Valid Canadian Identification (i.e.: PR Card, Canadian passport/citizenship, Refugee status ).
4- Fees:

- 100 CAD for power of Attorney that does not include the selling of real estate (Lands, Houses, Apartments, etc.)

- 200 CAD for power of Attorney that includes the selling of real estate (Lands, Houses, Apartments, etc.) 

*10 CAD will be added for every additional signee. 

*Fees are collected in the form of a money order payable to the Palestinian General Delegation.
5- Copy of the ID of the authorized person.
6- A prepaid registered return envelope (if submitted by mail).

The application can be submitted:

• In person at the Palestinian General Delegation in Ottawa by scheduling an appointment by phone or email.
• By mail: first, Documents must be signed and notarized by notary public (virtual notarization via zoom or similar video calling softwares is not accepted, notary public must attest to the signature in persone), then mail the documents to “Palestinian General delegation”. A prepaid registered return envelope must be included with the documents.

Note: All forms and/or documents that come from Palestine must be authenticated by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
